I reside in [Redacted Personal Information]. I along with my neighbour built 3 houses on a site that was in a flood zone with the understanding that if we built as per our planning permission the houses would be taken out of the flooz zone. We built the ground up and installed a berm as per our planning permission. Our houses are now the same floor level as a lot of other houses in our estate. We were told by the OPW and Waterford Planning department that the opportunity to take or houses out of the flood zone map would be when this development plan was being developed. I have checked and they are still in a flood zone, this negativly impacts the value of our houses and good insurance is not possible. Can our house be taken out of this zoning and made the same as our neighbours please. I attach a letter from our Engineer that was drafted at the time of the building works.
