Page 199 of Climate Action , Biodiversity and Environment lists the Comeragh Mountains as a Special Area of Conservation, however it is confusing as to why the entirety of the Comeraghs is not included in this.
An industrial sized wind farm consisting of 11 turbines 185metres in height has been proposed for the Coumnagappul, Carrigbrack, Knockavannia area of the Comeraghs. I am requesting that the entire Comeraghs should be classified as a Special Area of Conservation in order to prevent this unspoiled area from being destroyed and to allow the Council to fulfill their objevtive as stated in chapter 9 pg 189
