Traffic Calming Proposals, Scoil Lorcain, St Johns Park, Waterford
Waterford City and County Council proposes to undertake the construction of traffic calming and pedestrian measures outside Scoil Lorcain National School on the L90323-1 (St Johns Villa’s), St Johns Park, Waterford.
The proposed scheme consists of traffic calming, footpath widening, provision of a set down area, footpath build outs, new line markings and signage and the provision of a one-way traffic system on the L90320-3, L90323-1 and the L90325-1. The scheme also proposes a new raised pedestrian crossing on the L90325-1.
The objective of these proposed works is to prioritise safe access to the school and reduce vehicle congestion at the front of school, as set out on the attached drawing.
The drawing is available for inspection on Waterford City and County Council’s website consult.waterfordcouncil.ie and is also on display in our Customer Services Departments in Bailey’s New Street in Waterford City from Wednesday 13th August 2025 to Wednesday 10th September 2025.
The Council will consider any submissions or observations made in writing regarding the proposal.
