Waterford City & County Council proposes to establish five Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs).
The purpose of the committees is to give sectoral interests an input in assisting and advising the Council in the formulation, development and review of policy and its implementation.
The five proposed SPCs are as follows:
- Economic Development and Enterprise SPC
- Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Change SPC
- Transportation and Infrastructure SPC
- Housing, Community, Sport & Recreation SPC
- Planning and Culture SPC
Membership of the SPCs will comprise of elected members and representatives of the following sectors:
- Agriculture/Farming
- Environmental/Conservation
- Development/Construction
- Business/Commercial
- Trade Union
- Community/Voluntary
- Social Inclusion - Education
The Draft SPC Scheme can be viewed opposite or can be inspected at the locations listed hereunder between 9.30am to 4pm, from Wednesday 17th July 2024 to Wednesday 21st August 2024 (inclusive).
