Waterford City & County Council proposes to undertake the construction of Traffic Calming and pedestrian measures on Convent Hill, Tramore, between junctions with Sweet Briar and Old Waterford Road (R-682).

The proposed scheme consists of carriageway narrowing, footpath widening, place making including tree pits, flower beds (SUDS features), street furniture (i.e., Seats, benches etc) along Convent Hill and junction tightening works at the Old Waterford Road.

As part of the Safe Routes to School programme under Active Travel works in the area, the objective is to improve walking and cycling access, improve connections to existing footpaths as set out on the attached drawing.

The drawing is available for inspection (here) and on Waterford City and County Council’s website www.waterfordcouncil.ie and is also on display in our Customer Services Departments in Bailey’s New Street in the City and Davitts Quay, Dungarvan from Tuesday 27th September 2022 to Monday 24th October, 2022.
